Fleeting moments!!

Yesterday was one of the happier moments of my life. I was meeting a special person after a long time since we've known each other.It was something that I was looking forward since quite some time. You want certain moments to last forever , but paradoxically those are moments that pass like a blink of an eye :(

Its for us to cherish those moments as sweet memories for the rest of our lives!

Life

The world would have been a great place , If we get to have all the people we like in one place and lived together.But alas, we do not live in an utopian world :( .
We are forced to depart from our deared ones to pursue our quest for a "better life".Sometimes I wonder , what is this life for? Should our aim be to earn more money..to lead a "happy life"? Or is it to join the rate race for power , to satisfy our ambition?
I do not really understand , if our ambitions are right ...Do we ever think where we are going to land up?
At the end of the day, what have we gained...? We might have more money..more material comfort..but at what cost? We live in an illusion..that we are gaining more by the day..If one takes some time and tries to analyze the actual costs involved, we realize we are at a great loss.

Was busy since quite a few days...one project finished and another started the next day :(
I have doing incessant work since a long time ...need a break

This is how most of my online conversations go...I always ask myself....there are so many modes of communication nowadays..chatting..sms..email..mobile..landline..
But dont you think we are lost ...having too many options to communicate..but not much to talk about..
I do not wish to generalize..but i accept that its indeed the case with me...Life was much better (may not be easier) without these communication modes..How many of us..simply send an SmS or email to wish somebody instead of personally wishing a person (when the person is easily reachable to you..)..We prefer to choose to send an ecard..or an sms..or call that person..instead of meeting him/her in person .
Is it that we are being lazy or we are moving towards a virtual world..i guess its both ..

From now on I have decided am not going to use the desk phone to reach my colleagues.Communication is more effective when we talk face to face..It may cost a few minutes extra to me..but its a lot better..

Doing Things -- The right way!

Its been a long time (as usual) since i wrote my last blog.
Was insanely preoccupied with my project.Well I did learn quite a bit from my project.

During the course of project which needed me to interact with different teams and get things done from them for the completion of project , I felt all professionals mainly fall two categories...
Pepole who try to things the right way.
And people who do not try to do it in the right way.

Often i see that bad work (products) are not the result of technical incompetence or intellectual ability.Its just that the people who did it ..did not try enough to do it the right manner, i attribute laziness and negligent attitude to be the rootcause of bad quaility of products.

I have come across quite a few "very smart " , "knowledgeable" people and not so "knowledgeable" people as well.
But interestingly i see that the quality of work did not depend on the degree of one's knowledge or the lack of it.Instead it was one's diligence and one's desire to do things in the right way was what mattered most.
To excel in whatever we do , i think the desire to do things right and a well directed effort to execute that desire is what gets us positive results.
And of-course the desire to continuously improve oneself is necessary as well. But i feel this shall come automatically if u aim to do things in the right way.At the end of the day the the gain in experience / knowledge (/or satisfaction with what you have done) must be positive.
If you don't feel that's happening with you,Its high time to set things right!Otherwise you are as good (bad??) as a dead person.

Back again!!

Its been quite a while since i blogged..was pre-occupied with project work..
Was a busy month for me...had to spend couple of nites in office(working :) )..quite hectic huh :(

I enrolled for a gym near my home ..but dint go there ...after first 2 days.... every nite i sleep thinkin i will go tmrw..every mornin when i wake up at 5:30 i say the same thing...i will go tomorrow :D

Today i resolve that I will definitely go tomorrow !

One good thing is that the new year started with me being relieved of the tension of driving in Bangalore every day..it used to be very taxing for me...such a chaos out there...Now i read magazines ...sometimes read the news papers (atleast i read three daily)....its making me more knowledgable than ever ...kudos to BMTC
While am travelling in Bus...i dont feel the traffic is bad after all if you are in a bus...you dont need to be afraid that your vehicle is going to brush some other vehicle and get some dent or scratches...The BMTC Bus is all powerful and mighty ! Everybody else on the road is going to make way for you...I seriously think i should own of those BMTC busses..
Its like a celebrity on road...People anxiously wait for it...and they come running to it when it stops..and sometimes follow it desperately for sometime..until they can't catch it anymore,This is Often followed by an expression of utter disappointment and frustration( as if sky has fallen on their heads).
