Last weekday of the year!!

Today was the last working day of year ......
It was the last "official day" in my old project...And also it was my last day of commuting by car to my office ...from 2nd jan onwards i shall be using the company Bus :)
Its a great respite for me , driving for about 2.5 hours every day in bangalore was one hell of a experience and a total waste of time...
Since the moment i registered for bus ... i have been thinking of what to do while commuting to office :) Although i know ...whatever i do shall be pursued with rigor for 3-4 days only :)

There is nothing much phenomenal happening for quite some time now ...sometimes i wonder how blogging became so popular ...do people have so much to write about everyday life...do they have time to do it?

If we see some well written blogs...we notice that its just a phenomenal rendering of something very ordinary...something most of choose to forget as insignificant moments of our lives..To be a good blogger we must have an eye for detail .. blogging (or maintaing a dairy / journal )helps us to cherish and appreciate these "tiny moments" of our lives...At the end of day you try to analyse what you have done that day and that continuous assesment of ourselves makes us better each day .

India Shining!!

I Just came across a blog of my very dear friend today , and thought i would blog as well :)

Today, I happened to go to a "village" bordering Bangalore for a personal work of mine. Its really surprising to see how sky-rocketing land prices in and around bangalore have changed the life styles of farmers .
The "village" is about 40 km from the heart of bangalore , few years back - it used to be a normal village that could be described with the usual adjectives normally applicable to indian villages.(like "rustic charm" , "innocent people" , "simple lifestyle" etc etc... as shown in typical bollywood movies)

But now ...itz not the same...the "parking fee" at a place close to "panchayat office" was Rs.10 !! Something that was unheard of in villages so far. My small Alto car was little bit shy amongst the company of scores of scorpios , corolla's and big cars alike... As i parked my car i was hoping that more surprises are in store for me..

The panchayat office at a first glance looked to me as a typical corrupt sarkari office that they show in films..i dont think anybody will get to know which queue to stand in over there without paying a bribe.

The middle men / clerks over there were all shining with "gold watches" ....rings (most of them with atleast 5)...about a quarter kilo (or more) of gold chains ....
Probably this is what they mean when they say "India Shining"!!

Farmers who used to struggle for a few thousand rupees...are millionares overnight ....
Its glad to see them become rich ...they deserve to be rich after enduring hardships for the last few decades...but at the same time , its horrifying to see that them being exploited...Though they become rich most of them are'nt sure of how to make use of it...i have heard and seen many farmers loosing all the money in a short period of time...After that they are left no where..no land and no money in hand...I would probably not be surprised if we see suicides due to these kind of situations in the near future.

Its very much apparent to me that all this false hype in prices is driven by the vested interests of certain corrupt politicians and corrupt govt. officials... See for example the sudden interest of our "Dynamic CM" in developing Bidadi .People in that village say that many politicians own hundred's of acres of land in bidadi...For developing the township..the Govt. will use the poor farmers' land paying them meager compensation.Once the township is established...the remaining land around will obviously sell at a very high rate...In the end the petty farmers are losers and a certain class of people are getting richer and richer.

Well that's it for today .....
